CloudMaster (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a minimalistic AWS Cloud Practitioner quiz app for iOS. This privacy policy describes how we handle information when you use the app.
1. Overview
We do not require an account or any personal information (such as name, email, or phone number) to use CloudMaster. The app stores some data locally on your device to provide quiz history, streaks, and achievements. When the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK is included, advertising is shown and Google may collect data as described in Section 3.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device using iOS UserDefaults. We do not transmit this data to our servers (we do not operate any backend servers for this app).

| Achievements | Which achievements are unlocked (e.g. First 100%, 5-Day Streak) and related progress (domains completed, wrong answers reviewed). |
| Flagged questions | Question identifiers you flag for later review. |
This data is used only to provide the app’s features (history, streaks, achievements, flagged review). You can delete all of it by deleting the CloudMaster app from your device.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
When the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK is included in the app build:
- Banner and interstitial ads may be shown. Ads are hidden during an active quiz.
- Google (not us) collects and processes data for ad serving, measurement, and fraud prevention. That can include device identifiers (such as the Advertising Identifier on iOS), IP address, and ad interaction data.
- Google’s use of data is governed by:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google’s EU User Consent Policy where applicable
On iOS, if the app or Google uses the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), the system may show you an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; your choice there controls tracking for advertising purposes as per Apple’s rules.
We do not control what data Google collects. For details and choices, see Google’s policies and your device and Google account settings.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Name, email, phone number, or other account information (the app has no sign-in).
- Precise location.
- Any of the local data in Section 2 beyond your device; we do not send it to our servers.
5. Children’s Privacy
CloudMaster is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will work to delete it.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Local data: To delete all data stored by the app (scores, streaks, achievements, flagged questions), uninstall CloudMaster from your device.
- Advertising: Use your device’s privacy settings and, where shown, the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can also manage ad personalization and data in your Google account and in the app’s system permissions.
- Access/correction: Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is no separate account to access or correct. All app data is on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
7. Data Security
Data described in Section 2 is stored in the app’s local storage on your device and is subject to your device’s security (e.g. device passcode, biometrics). We do not transmit this data over the internet to our own systems.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g. in the app or on a website) where feasible.
