NurseNotes (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is an iOS application that helps you practice NCLEX Clinical Judgment questions. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app.
1. Overview
NurseNotes is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require an account or collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information. Most of your data stays on your device.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device and is not sent to our servers (we do not operate a backend that receives this data):
- Answer history – Which questions you answered, your choices, whether they were correct, and when you answered (used for the History feature).
- Bookmarks – Questions you have bookmarked for later review.
- Streak data – The last date you completed the Question of the Day (used to calculate your streak).
- App preferences – Such as whether notifications are enabled and the time you set for the daily reminder.
- Onboarding state – Whether you have completed the initial onboarding flow.
This data is stored using Apple’s SwiftData and UserDefaults. It remains on your device unless you delete the app, in which case it is removed with the app.
3. Third-Party Services: Advertising
The app uses Google AdMob to show banner and interstitial ads. When ads are displayed, Google may collect and use data according to its own policies, which can include:
- Device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID)
- General location (e.g., country or city)
- App and device information (e.g., app name, OS version)
- Usage data related to ads (e.g., views, clicks)

4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, we use local notifications only. We schedule a daily "Question of the Day" reminder at the time you choose. This is handled entirely on your device; we do not send your notification preferences or any data to a server.
You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in Settings → Notifications → NurseNotes.
5. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not:
- Collect your name, email, phone number, or other contact information.
- Require you to create an account or sign in.
- Upload your answer history, bookmarks, or streak data to our servers.
- Sell your personal information.
6. Children’s Privacy
NurseNotes is intended for nursing students and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will work to delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Parts of our content, including practice questions and educational explanations, are generated or curated using advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to ensure broad and updated coverage of official study materials.
Accuracy Disclaimer
While our AI engine is trained on official handbooks and regulations, AI can occasionally generate incorrect information. This app is provided "as-is" for study assistance only and does not constitute an official government or board-certified document. Users are responsible for verifying information with official sources before taking any certified exam.
No-Guarantee Clause
Use of this app does not guarantee a passing result on any official exam. We are not liable for any failed attempts, fees, or lost opportunities resulting from the use of this study tool.
Intellectual Property and Anti-Scraping
Users may not use automated systems (bots, scrapers, or AI) to extract content from this app for commercial use or to create competing databases.
12) Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and your use of the App are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Any legal action or proceeding related to this App shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Amman, Jordan. By using this App, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of and venue in such courts.
