Privacy Policy for Security+ SY0-701 Exam Prep

Security+ SY0-701 Practice Test

Effective date: August 4, 2026

Muehldorf Software Development ("we," "us," or "our") provides Security+ SY0-701 Exam Prep / Security+ SY0-701 Practice Test (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App on iOS or Android.

The App is an offline-first study tool. It does not require an account or use a Muehldorf Software Development backend to receive or synchronize your study activity. Advertising, consent messaging, app-store services, and optional device permissions can involve third parties as described below.

1. At a Glance

  • You can use the App without signing in or creating an account.
  • Study progress, bookmarks, quiz and flashcard state, preferences, and similar App data are stored locally on your device.
  • We do not receive that local study data through our own backend because the App does not currently offer account sync or cloud storage.
  • The release versions of the App may display ads through Google Mobile Ads. The iOS release also includes mediation support for Meta Audience Network and Unity Ads.
  • Before requesting ads, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform ("UMP") to update consent information and show any required privacy message.
  • On iOS, the App may request App Tracking Transparency ("ATT") permission before using the advertising identifier for cross-app tracking or personalized advertising.
  • The App can ask for notification permission only if you choose to enable its optional daily study reminder.

2. Information You Provide

You do not need to provide your name, email address, payment information, answers, or other personal information to use the App's study features.

If you contact us through email or another channel outside the App, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device details, and crash description. We use that information to respond to and manage your request.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores study data and settings locally. This can include:

  • Quiz answers, scores, timing, missed-question state, readiness indicators, and session recovery state.
  • Bookmarks, flashcard learning state, and review schedules.
  • Onboarding state, theme, text-size, reduce-motion, reminder, and similar preferences.
  • Local ad-cadence state used to avoid showing ads too frequently.

This information is used to provide and personalize your study experience on that device. We do not operate a service that receives this local study data. Deleting the App or using an available reset option can remove local data, but device backups, restores, and operating-system behavior may preserve it separately.

4. Optional Notifications

The App may offer a local daily study reminder. It requests notification permission only when you turn that option on. The reminder is scheduled on your device and can be disabled in the App or your device settings. We do not use the reminder to collect your study activity or send it to our servers.

5. Advertising, Consent, and Identifiers

Release versions of the App may use Google Mobile Ads to show native or interstitial ads. The iOS release also includes Google Mobile Ads mediation adapters for Meta Audience Network and Unity Ads. The available ad sources can vary by platform, release, region, and live mediation configuration.

Before requesting ads, the App requests an updated consent status through UMP and presents a consent or privacy form when required. UMP may determine whether a message or a visible "Privacy options" entry point is required for your region and prior choices. The App only initializes ad requests after UMP indicates that ads may be requested. Study features remain available even if advertising is limited or unavailable.

Ad providers and their partners may collect, receive, or infer information such as:

  • Advertising identifiers, including the Android advertising identifier and, on iOS, the Identifier for Advertisers ("IDFA") when available and permitted.
  • Device, browser, network, and app information, including device type, operating system, app version, language, IP-address-derived general location, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals.
  • Ad delivery and measurement information, including impressions, interactions, frequency information, and consent or privacy-choice signals.

On iOS 14.5 and later, the App may show Apple's ATT prompt as part of the configured ad privacy flow. If you allow tracking, ad providers may use the IDFA and related information for personalized advertising or measurement under their own policies. If you do not allow tracking, the App will not access the IDFA for tracking; you may still receive contextual, non-personalized, or privacy-preserving measured ads, subject to your regional consent choices and device settings.

We do not sell personal information through our own backend. Advertising providers may process data for their own advertising services under their privacy notices and your applicable choices. For more information, review the privacy information supplied in the applicable UMP form and the privacy policies of Google, Meta, Unity, Apple, and your device platform.

6. Your Advertising and Privacy Choices

Depending on your platform and region, you can:

  • Use the in-App "Privacy options" control when it is shown to reopen the UMP privacy form.
  • Change ATT permission in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.
  • Manage Android advertising identifiers and ad-privacy settings through Android and Google settings.
  • Manage ad personalization or limit tracking through applicable Apple, Google, Meta, Unity, and device settings.
  • Decline or turn off the optional daily study reminder in the App or device settings.

Your available choices and the effect of a choice depend on your device, location, consent form, and the third-party ad services available for that release.

7. How Information Is Shared

We share information only as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • With Apple, Google, Meta, Unity, app-store providers, and advertising or mediation partners when their SDKs and platform services operate.
  • With service providers that help us respond to support requests, when you contact us.
  • When reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, protect users or the public, investigate misuse, or respond to a valid legal process.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

We do not share your locally stored study activity with a Muehldorf Software Development backend because the App has no such backend or sync service.

8. Retention and Deletion

Local App data remains on your device until you delete it through available App/device controls or delete the App, subject to backups and restores controlled by your platform. We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Advertising and app-store providers retain information under their own policies.

Because we do not receive your local study data, we cannot access, correct, export, or delete it for you. Use the available App/device controls or delete the App to manage that data.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information we handle. No application, device, service, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, operating-system account, backups, and app-store account.

10. Children

The App is intended for people preparing for a professional certification exam and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our own backend. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through a support channel, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

11. International Users and Privacy Requests

The App may be available in countries other than Jordan. App stores, advertising providers, and support services may process information in countries where they or their providers operate.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding personal information that you directly provide to us, such as a support email. To request access, correction, deletion, or information about that data, contact us using the details below and describe your request. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where the law permits or requires it. Requests concerning advertising-provider data should also be directed through the provider's privacy controls or privacy notice.

12. Third-Party Services

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. This includes Apple App Store and iOS services, Google Play and Android services, Google Mobile Ads and UMP, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, and any support channel that you choose to use. We do not control those independent services or their privacy practices.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when the App, its data practices, or applicable requirements change. We will make the updated version available in the App and in the store-listing materials, and will update the effective date. To the extent permitted by law, continued use after the effective date means you acknowledge the updated Policy. Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
