Privacy Policy for SkyHigh

Last updated: February 28, 2026

SkyHigh (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is an iOS app for studying for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test. This privacy policy describes how we handle information when you use SkyHigh.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data Stored on Your Device

SkyHigh stores the following data only on your device (using iOS UserDefaults). We do not upload this data to any server or collect it ourselves:

  • Progress: Your current position in the question set (e.g., which question you left off on).
  • Answers: Which answer you selected for each question (used to show “wrong answers only” and “unanswered only” study modes).
  • Bookmarks: Which questions you have bookmarked for later review.
  • Session settings: Whether you have shuffle enabled and the current question order for your session.

This data is used solely to let you resume studying, filter by wrong/unanswered questions, and manage bookmarks. You can clear your progress (and optionally bookmarks) from within the app.

1.2 Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Name, email address, or any account or login information (SkyHigh has no accounts).
  • Any personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Precise location or other sensitive device data for our own use.

2. Third-Party Services

2.1 Advertising (Google AdMob)

SkyHigh may display ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). When real ads are enabled (instead of the in-app placeholder), the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process data in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s EU User Consent Policy where applicable. This can include:

  • Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS).
  • Device and app usage data related to ad serving and performance.

We do not control how Google uses this data. You can limit ad tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (iOS) and through Google’s ad settings.

2.2 No Other Third-Party Analytics or Tracking

Aside from AdMob when ads are enabled, SkyHigh does not integrate third-party analytics, crash reporting, or other tracking SDKs. Question content is loaded from a local file in the app and is not fetched from the internet.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

  • On-device data: Stored until you delete the app or clear progress/bookmarks in the app. We do not retain copies of this data.
  • Ad-related data: Handled by Google as described in their privacy policy; we do not store or retain it.

4. Children’s Privacy

SkyHigh is intended for general use by persons studying for the FAA Part 107 exam. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will work to delete it.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g., in the app or on an app store listing).

6. Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy or SkyHigh’s data practices, you can contact us at the support or contact method you use for the app (e.g., App Store support URL or your preferred contact address).
