Permis BE · iOS and Android
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 May 2026
This privacy policy describes how the mobile application Permis BE (the “App”), intended for studying Belgian road signs and traffic rules and published by Muehldorf Software Development (the “Publisher”), handles information.
1. Data we collect
Depending on configuration and your use, the App may involve:
- app usage data (to improve functionality and stability);
- technical device information (such as operating system version, app version, language settings);
- advertising identifiers and the status of your consent (when advertising is enabled);
- data related to advertising tracking on iOS, if you explicitly allow tracking via the system “App Tracking Transparency” prompt.
The App may also store your learning progress and certain settings locally on your device, without our receiving a copy on our servers, unless a future version states otherwise.
2. Purposes of processing
Data may be used to:
- deliver the core features of the App (catalogue, quizzes, educational content);
- improve the quality and reliability of the App;
- display and measure advertising (Google AdMob: banners, interstitials and native ads where applicable);
- comply with our legal obligations.
3. AI-generated content and no transfer of data to AI providers during use
Some of the educational content in the App is generated, assembled or refined using artificial intelligence (AI) models. This processing is performed offline by the Publisher during content preparation; the App itself does not, during use, transmit personal data, queries or device data to any AI or large language model (LLM) provider. All quiz questions, sign descriptions and explanations are shipped with the App and displayed locally on your device.
4. Local storage
Certain data are stored solely on your device (for example progress, favourites or preferences) to preserve your experience between sessions.
5. Third-party services
The App uses third-party software, in particular Google AdMob (advertising network). Google processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy and, where applicable, its terms for app publishers. Other SDKs or services may be added; their practices are governed by their respective policies.
We recommend consulting Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
6. Sharing of data
We do not sell personal data. Limited data may be shared with technical service providers (hosting, advertising, analytics) only as necessary to operate, improve or monetise the App, and under their responsibility as processors or, where applicable, as joint controllers.
7. Retention period
Data are retained as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Data stored locally on the device remain under your control until you delete the App or clear app data.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law (including the GDPR for residents of the European Economic Area), you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can also:
- accept or decline legal consent dialogs in the App;
- manage or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings (iOS / Android);
- limit advertising tracking via system settings;
- uninstall the App to stop further data collection by the App.
If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (in Belgium: the Data Protection Authority / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
To exercise your rights with us, contact Muehldorf Software Development at info@muehldorfsd.com.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children below the age at which parental consent or another legal basis for processing personal data is required in your country, unless expressly stated otherwise.
10. International transfers
Some service providers (including Google) may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) may be used, as set out in those providers’ policies.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the revised policy, insofar as the law allows.
12. Governing law, jurisdiction and prevailing language
This privacy policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws applicable in Amman, Jordan, and submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Amman, Jordan, without prejudice to mandatory rights in data protection or consumer protection granted by the law of your country of residence.
